How to set yourself up for success in a new month

There's something special about the start of anything. It’s the idea of a clean slate, a fresh start and new beginnings - all of which can be uplifting and inspiring.

So as we move into the last month of the year, and with Christmas just around the corner, pause and breathe so you can notice the newness.

Because now is an opportunity to reset your focus.

Consciously stopping to review and reflect on where you’re at, identifying what it’s time to release and then turning your attention to reset for the new month ahead.

It’s a simple, yet powerful, 4-step process that helps you claim more fully, more confidently into the driver’s seat of your life. It’s also useful because without having clarity about what matters to you, you'll get swept up in whatever shows up (whether it's what you want or not!). And sadly, that's why people end up at the end of another year with regrets 😢

Clarity gives you focus

Without having clarity about what matters most to you, everything and everyone else will take priority. And it's not that we intentionally put ourselves on the back burner. We simply get caught up in the busyness, demands and expectations.

Permission to get clear about what matters to you.

And I know thinking about yourself can seem scary or hard because maybe you're too busy or you think it's selfish. But sweetheart, what if you believed there was time and that it was okay for you to stop and think about it? Imagine that.

Because you're not the sort of person who is going to ignore everyone else's needs, especially your nearest and dearest. If you value family and friends, then when you think about what matters to you, they'll very much be included in your thinking.

Here's an example.

Lets say that spending time with your children over the school holidays is a priority. When someone asks you to help them with something during that time, you're in a better position to say no. Why? Because you know spending time with your family is important and doing the thing that someone has asked you to do isn't as important.

Our experience of life is shaped by what we think, do and say.

Realising you have the power to consciously create the life you're living is, well, life-changing. And once you realise that, it's not hard to make changes in your life - you can do it now by thinking about December.

If you've got the Live Well Life Planner, go ahead and declare your intention and set your goals / priorities for the new month ahead. And if you don't have the Planner, use your journal or a book (but avoid using a piece of paper because they’re easy to lose).
