YES! you can live the life you dream of
/YES! you can live the life you dream of
- Tracey Hancock
While it is possible to live the life you dream of, not everyone does. Some think that you have to know some secret formula or that it's only a lucky few who get to make their dreams real, that's simply not the case.
Are you in the drivers' seat of your life?
In the hustle and bustle of life, the days can blur into each other. A seemingly endless To Do list, and constant demands and deadlines can leave people feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. Worst of all, feeling unfulfilled with life.
It doesn't have to be that way.
Now is a good time to review how things are going
By stopping throughout the year to specifically review how things are going, you can choose your next step well. You see, when you become more aware of what's going on and the changes you want to make, you can direct your attention, energy and focus to what matters most to you.
You can do the review whenever you like, at the end of the day, week or month, or now, 1/2 way through the year.
Before you start thinking about the year that's been, I need you to promise me (in fact promise yourself) that you'll do this with kindness. It's not about judging or criticising yourself harshly. It's an opportunity to reflect on what you've achieved and learnt, and most importantly to notice how much you've grown because of the experiences you've had.
Simple 3 step review process
Thinking about your health, life and work or business goals...
- What's gone well?
The successes, achievements and things you're proud of, however big or small, they all matter.
- What's not gone so well?
The things that went astray, that didn't work out so well, or the things you regret.
- What lessons have you learnt?
From what's gone well and not so well, you'll have learnt some lessons that you'll want to apply going forward.
YES! to learning and growing
We cannot change what's been but we can learn from it and do things differently today and tomorrow... that's the beauty of identifying the lessons learnt! Use the lessons to shape what you'll do and how you'll do it.
Before finishing up the review, remember to acknowledge and celebrate you. You've done, learnt and grown so much. You're not the same person you were 6 months ago (or even yesterday).
Step into the drivers' seat of your life by reviewing and reflecting on where things are at and then commit your attention, energy and focus to what matters to you, and move forward well.
