What is it time to forgive yourself for?
/What is it time to forgive yourself for?
- Tracey Hancock
Over the years we accumulate 'baggage'. It's the emotions associated with the things we think we've done wrong, where we think we could have done better or the mistakes we've made.
It can be easy to say "I've dealt with that and moved on". But ... have you really, truly forgiven yourself, released whatever happened (or didn't happen) and allowed yourself to move forward freely?
Forgiveness isn't about other people, it's something you do for yourself.
Forgiveness allows you to release the suffering you're experiencing.
Forgiveness frees you to be present now.
Sweetheart, you deserve your own kindness and self-love.
Have you ever noticed how critical and hard you are on yourself when you make a mistake or do something 'wrong'?
Something seemingly small, perhaps even insignificant, becomes a 3-headed monster that grows larger, uglier and meaner the more you think about it.
No one, not you, me or anyone, can change what has happened in the past. No amount of beating ourselves up or wishing to go back in time will ever reverse what has happened.
But, we have a choice about how we move forward.
When you think about that mistake ... what did you learn, how did you grow, and if faced with the same situation again what would you do differently?
Make peace with yourself.
Make peace with what you think you've done wrong.
Make peace with the mistake that's happened.
Embrace your humanness
Despite the best of intentions, we can all do and say things we wish we hadn't. We do things that make us cringe or that tug at our heart. You're human and doing stuff that you're not proud of or wished you'd done differently is part of being in the 'ring' living life fully.
When you hold onto guilt, anger, sadness or whatever the emotion is you're feeling because of something in the past, it creates dis-ease within you. It pulls you down, keeps you stuck and causes a chain of reactions within your body which, left unchecked, can lead to illness.
You deserve health, happiness and abundance, what is it time to forgive yourself for?
Beautiful one, give yourself permission to move forward now and live well now.
