What you say can help you manage change

No matter how skilled or successful you are, when anyone is making a change it will follow a similar pattern that involves some tough and challenging times. And here's what you need to know about how to manage well as the change unfolds.

You can learn strategies to help you respond better to change.

This is a game changer!

You see, there's no such thing as a perfect life where it's all blue skies, calm water, and smooth sailing. And while you could spend all your time wishing for that, you would miss out on this precious moment now.

When it comes to change, a key strategy to managing well is to notice what you're telling yourself.

Remember, whether you think you can or think you can't you're right.

If you're saying I can't do this or I can't cope, guess what's going to happen? You're going to hold yourself back because you don't think you can do it or cope with it.

But say I can do this or I will cope and you're supporting yourself to be successful. Such seemingly small words but by crikey they have a powerful impact.

Become aware of what you're saying to yourself. Notice the words you use and ask yourself if they're serving you well. If they're not, consciously choose other words. Life is full of highs and lows, ups and times, easy times and challenges... ride the journey as best you can and use language to help you.
